Full Charge Bookkeeper.
Position location: Las Vegas, Nevada.

Position Overview:
Provide accounting services in a timely manner to staff and board members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary execution as the council coordinator for Jitasa, a 3rd party vendor that provides accounting services to the council. This includes a standing weekly meeting with Jitasa, Cabinet, and Scout Executive.
- Working with Jitasa, Council Treasurer, Cabinet and Scout Executive ensure an accurate and on time audit.
- Provides primary administrative support in the utilization of PeopleSoft and Virtuoso, the accounting software used.
- Supervise accounts receivables and payables clerk and have oversite and knowledge of all income and expenses.
- As a member of the Council Cabinet, provide all weekly reports including Cash Flow, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Endowment for review.
- Assist and coordinate the development of the annual budget in collaboration with Scout Executive, Treasurer and Cabinet, and monitor budget-to-actual performance.
- Provide support to council investment committee, including tracking expenditures and draw requests. Attend quarterly investment committee meetings.
- Track and ensure proper use of restricted, donor-designated, and grant funds.
- Prepare financial schedules and analysis for Board of Directors and committee meetings as requested.
- Provide primary administrative support in all HR functions, such as onboarding, payroll, time sheets, retirement, health insurance, workers comp, PTO/Vacation and record keeping.
- Work with all support staff to create and ensure a smooth flowing office operation.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to accept and meet the Boy Scouts of America leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law (Information on this may be found at www.scouting.org).

- Proven experience in non-profit accounting.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Self-motivated individuals with solid time management skills and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of ADP, Peoplesoft and Virtuoso preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non‑financial audiences.

Salary range: of $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience.
Schedule:
Hours Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:15pm.
